Middle East Baltimore: Baltimore, MD 2008 – 2009
Middle East Baltimore Stories: Images and Words from a Displaced Community: is an audio-visual project on the displacement of an entire Baltimore City neighborhood threatened by eminent domain.
I spent nearly a year interviewing and photographing residents of this inner city neighborhood in East Baltimore. This project resulted in an audio/visual photography book. Selected images and stories from the book were exhibited at the Reginald Lewis museum for African-American Art. This museum also holds these images in their permanent collection.
